We had been conducting small-scale overseas business for some time, but a major turning point came when an employee who had been in charge of our overseas operations for many years went on maternity leave. Overseas expansion requires not only English language skills but also specialized knowledge and experience, so simply replacing personnel would not be enough, and this was becoming a growing concern within the company.<\/p>\n
