Our COO, Omori, and our business unit manager, Inoue, recently traveled to Rwanda and Nigeria on a business trip.<\/p>\n

The purpose of this business trip is to have meetings with people from local companies.<\/p>\n

In Rwanda, I mainly had meetings with dealers of used equipment.
\nIn Nigeria, we held numerous meetings with local bankers and JETRO representatives who were interested in our SHC service, discussing its implementation in real-world business settings.<\/p>\n

What was particularly memorable was being consulted by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce regarding the logistics issues of local fresh food.
\nApparently, the 40% vegetable produced in Nigeria spoils in the heat.<\/p>\n

Even if fertile land yields an abundance of vegetables and fruits, there might be no vehicles to transport them to market, or the roads might not be well-maintained...
\nBecause transportation methods are not in place, the produce cannot be sold within the local area and ends up spoiling.
\nEven if they can be transported, they spoil during transit due to poor storage methods.<\/p>\n

By solving these distribution problems, we can ensure that produced food is used without waste.
\nBy optimizing storage methods, it becomes possible to ship products to more distant locations.<\/p>\n

These kinds of distribution issues are challenges that occur in a phase prior to trade settlement.
\nImproving distribution channels could lead to increased trade and potentially higher demand for our services.<\/p>\n

I realized that we need to consider related issues from a broader perspective, not just the payment system, and explore solutions.<\/p>\n
