\nLast week, I visited the Kasahara Ceramic Industry Cooperative in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture!<\/p>\n
With the cooperation of the Secretary-General of the Kasahara Ceramic Industry Cooperative Association, we were also able to participate in the "Ceramic Tile Mino 2021 Exhibitors' Meeting" held in Gifu Prefecture on the same day, where we were given time to introduce our participation in the online exhibition for Africa.<\/p>\n
The "Ceramic Tile Mino 2021 Exhibitor Meeting" was an information session held for companies exhibiting at the "Architecture & Building Materials Exhibition 2021," organized by Nikkei Inc. and scheduled to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from March 9th (Tue) to 12th (Fri), 2021.<\/p>\n
Tajimi City in Gifu Prefecture has long been famous as a pottery town, and its tile production volume is, believe it or not, the highest in Japan!! \u2728<\/p>\n
Tiles are also used in African homes, and most of them are imported from overseas.
\nIn Nigeria, in particular, most of the tiles are imported from China and Spain.<\/p>\n
In Nigeria, it is estimated that more than 10 million people belong to the middle class, earning an average annual income of over $3,000. This means that they have ample disposable income to purchase new homes costing around 5 million yen, and as a result, there is a construction boom in Nigeria's capital, Abuja, and in Lagos!<\/p>\n
High-quality Japanese-made tiles seem like they'll be in huge demand! \u2728<\/p>\n
