"A day to transform anxieties about overseas expansion into confidence": Through speeches by members of parliament, presentations of success stories, and awards for companies challenging exports, we will consider the future revitalization of the Japanese economy.<\/p>\n

STANDAGE Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Akinori Adachi; hereinafter referred to as STANDAGE), a company that develops and provides digital trade platforms, will hold "STANDAGE DAY 2025," an event to support new exports, at Station Conference Tokyo on Friday, July 4, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On that day, Senator Mitsuru Sakurai delivered a keynote speech.<\/strong>In addition, we will provide opportunities to consider "overseas expansion for small and medium-sized enterprises" from multiple perspectives, including award interviews with companies that have achieved success in exports and sessions with experts from both the public and private sectors.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u25a0 Background of the event<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 2022, Standage has been providing services to support the overseas expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from a private sector perspective, and is currently used by over 350 companies nationwide.<\/p>\n

With shrinking domestic demand and the persistent depreciation of the yen, there is a growing trend of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) eager to venture overseas. However, many companies abandon their plans at the consideration stage due to reasons such as insufficient internal resources and limitations in production and transaction scale.<\/p>\n

With the government implementing various support measures amidst the weak yen, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that previously had not focused on exports now beginning to take an interest in the importance of securing overseas demand, this event was planned to provide SMEs and mid-sized enterprises considering overseas exports with the latest trends and success stories related to trade and exports, and to support the challenges of companies that are taking their first steps overseas.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u25a0What is "STANDAGE DAY 2025"?<\/strong><\/p>\n

"STANDAGE DAY 2025" is an event that aims to respond to the growing need for overseas expansion amid a persistently weak yen, to widely disseminate the possibilities of companies' export strategies, and to create new growth opportunities.<\/p>\n

The first event (held in August 2024) was a great success, with over 200 attendees, exceeding prior expectations.<\/p>\n

This second edition will feature several experts from both the public and private sectors, including Senator Mitsuru Sakurai, who is well-versed in SME policy and actively supports the challenges of SMEs on the front lines. The event will also include an awards ceremony and lectures by companies that have achieved success in exports. Through the sharing of success stories and know-how, the event aims to create a platform where companies aspiring to export can learn from and connect with each other.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, to allow speakers and attendees who have gathered under the keyword "export" to freely connect and utilize this as an opportunity for co-creation, we are planning to hold a networking event for approximately 100 people in an adjacent room within the venue after the closing ceremony.<\/p>\n

Mitsuru Sakurai<\/strong><\/p>\n

Member of the House of Councillors and physician<\/strong><\/p>\n

Born in Miyagi Prefecture. Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Tokyo Medical and Dental University (now Tokyo University of Science). After completing his doctoral program at the Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine, he worked at a hospital before running for the House of Councillors in 1998 from the Miyagi constituency and being elected for the first time, subsequently being re-elected for five consecutive terms. He has served as Vice Minister of Finance, Vice Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party's Finance and Banking Division, and Chairman of the House of Councillors Budget Committee, among other positions. He is also a practicing physician.<\/p>\n

Drawing on his experience in the medical field, he has worked on healthcare policy while also making the support of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) his life's work as a politician. At the time of the Great East Japan Earthquake, he served as Vice Minister of Finance and dedicated himself to supporting the reconstruction of affected companies. He was involved in the creation of the "Group Subsidy" program, a support measure for affected companies, and the JICA "SME and SDGs Business Support Program," and is also working to expand "Subordinated Loans" to support the financing of SMEs.<\/p>\n

Akinori Adachi<\/strong><\/p>\n

President and CEO of STANDAGE Co., Ltd.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Born in 1984. Originally from Oita Prefecture. After graduating from Kyushu University Graduate School, he joined Itochu Corporation. He was involved in project management for pharmaceutical import\/export and overseas factory construction, as well as petrochemical trading.<\/p>\n

From his experience in international trade, he was impressed by virtual currencies, which allow value to be transferred without going through banks. Convinced that fintech will change the world, he founded STANDAGE Co., Ltd. in March 2017 with his junior at Itochu, current Vice President Omori. He is currently involved in the development and operation of a trade platform, including a new international payment system using blockchain technology, while also working to support domestic small and medium-sized enterprises in expanding into export markets.<\/p>\n

Kenta Ohmori<\/strong><\/p>\n

Graduated from the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology at the Graduate School of the University of Tokyo in 2012. His research focuses on the development of materials for diagnostic drugs for the early detection of cancer cells.<\/p>\n

After graduating, he joined Itochu Corporation, where he worked in trading of pharmaceuticals and healthcare products, as well as M&A with overseas companies.<\/p>\n

Having keenly felt the delay in the digital shift in B2B trade, and strongly believing in the potential of DX in this field, I co-founded STANDAGE Co., Ltd. in 2017 with Akinori Adachi, who was a senior colleague at Itochu at the time.<\/p>\n
