Hello, I'm staff member Mmi (*^^*)
Recently, a paper on global demographics published in the British medical journal The Lancet became a hot topic.
According to this paper, the world population will reach approximately 8.8 billion in 2100! (World population as of 2020: approximately 7.8 billion)
Japan's population will be less than half of its current size by 2100 (Japan's population in 2020: 126.5 million), while
The population of Sub-Saharan Africa is predicted to triple from its current level to approximately 3 billion people!
By 2100, they will account for more than one-third of the world's population!
Moreover, the population of Nigeria, where our branch office is located, is expected to grow to approximately 800 million by 2100, more than three times the current population! (Nigeria's population as of 2020: approximately 200 million)
It is predicted that the population will be the second largest in the world after India's 1.1 billion.
🔷Population ranking predictions for 2100
1. India
2. Nigeria
3. China
With this population projection, Nigeria is expected to rank 9th in GDP (gross domestic product) in 2100 (currently 28th).
What an incredible growth rate!
I have a feeling that Africa (especially Nigeria) will be getting more and more attention in the business world...!
Due to the impact of COVID-19, we have been unable to make business trips to Nigeria, but our sales team has been in close contact (via video conference) with staff in the Nigerian office on a daily basis.
Here in Nigeria, our local staff, including Dave, CEO of our Nigerian office, are working hard on sales activities!
If our DIGITRAD service spreads from Nigeria to the rest of Africa, it's not a dream that it will be used by one-third of the world's population by 2100!
