■ Background of the event
Taking advantage of the persistently weak yen, encouraging small and medium-sized enterprises to expand overseas has become national policy, and the government is finally stepping up its efforts to provide full-scale support to companies venturing into overseas business through subsidies and projects.

However, there are still very few small and medium-sized enterprises that are able to fully utilize these support measures and government systems, and due to a lack of in-house resources and limitations on the scale of production and trading, most companies are unable to fully benefit from the weak yen in the form of exports.

Since 2022, Standage has been providing services from a private sector perspective to support small and medium-sized enterprises in expanding overseas, and its services have currently been adopted by over 150 companies.

As the yen continues to weaken, the government has launched various forms of support, and even small and medium-sized enterprises that had not previously focused on exports are beginning to take an interest in the importance of capturing foreign demand. Now is the time to plan and hold an event to provide information on the latest trends and success stories in trade and export to SMEs and mid-sized enterprises considering exporting overseas, and to encourage Japanese companies to expand overseas.

■What is "STANDAGE DAY 2024"?
With the yen remaining perpetually weak, companies are increasingly interested in expanding overseas and are beginning to show support as a national policy. This event aims to raise awareness of the usefulness of export strategies for companies and create growth opportunities by providing information from a variety of perspectives.

We will welcome guests including Diet members who are on the front lines of supporting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and their overseas expansion, as well as representatives of companies that have been successfully expanding overseas for over several decades, and people from successful companies that began exporting several years or months ago. They will introduce the details of the government's support measures, know-how for successful overseas expansion, and the latest case studies, and aim to create an opportunity for all companies and people aiming to export or expand overseas to learn and connect.
