Good evening, this is Adachi.
The Nigerian Trading Forum was held at Hotel New Otani, and we were invited by the Nigerian Embassy to attend as 4 Stones, one of our group companies.
This time, the heads of the Chambers of Commerce, state governors, and business leaders from across Nigeria participated, engaging in lively discussions with participating Japanese companies about how to proceed with business with Japan.
In the evening, we were able to interact more deeply with the participants at the Nigerian Ambassador's residence in Denenchofu.
4 Stones, where I also serve as an executive, has already opened offices in two cities in Nigeria, Lagos and Abuja, and is promoting the import and export business of Japanese products.
While we are certainly expanding SHC, we are also simultaneously expanding our real-world business in addition to our cryptocurrency technology.
The power of Africa, especially Nigeria, is tremendous.
We are expanding not only into Nigeria, but also into Ethiopia, Ghana, and Luanda. In Ethiopia, the average age is only 18. There is nowhere to go but economic growth.
Our Shake Hands Contract (SHC) aims to be a blockchain service that can be used in real business as quickly as possible. We plan to launch the service in September, and we believe that trade businesses using this platform can bridge the gap between Japan and Africa.
Incidentally, Nigeria is the world's second-largest country in terms of BTC transaction volume, after China.
The adoption of cryptocurrencies is quite advanced even in Africa.
I don't think cryptocurrencies will become widespread in developed countries anytime soon. For example, in Japan, there are plenty of more convenient payment methods than cryptocurrencies, so there's no real need to use them.
However, it's different in developing countries.
It can become an essential infrastructure for doing business.
I believe it will become widespread as actual infrastructure in developing countries and then be re-imported to developed countries. We will proceed with development and dissemination based on that belief.
