STANDAGE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Akinori Adachi; hereinafter referred to as STANDAGE), which provides trade settlement platform services using blockchain technology, joined the Blockchain Promotion Association (BCCC) (Representative Director: Yoichiro Hirano, President and CEO of Asteria Corporation; hereinafter referred to as BCCC) on December 5, 2019.

BCCC is an organization that promotes the widespread adoption of blockchain technology.
We provide the latest information and fundamental knowledge on blockchain, train engineers and planners, build networks, conduct ambitious proof-of-concept experiments and implementations, widely publicize blockchain-related businesses to the market, and promote the spread of blockchain to various businesses.
With the adoption of blockchain technology being considered in industries other than finance, we are focusing on expanding the use of blockchain technology by establishing new committees, launching new projects, and collaborating with other organizations, aiming to implement blockchain across a wide range of industries.

STANDAGE operates "Shake Hands Contract (SHC)," a trade settlement platform service primarily focused on inter-company transactions in international trade.
SHC utilizes blockchain technology and cryptocurrency as a payment method, enabling highly secure and low-cost escrow and settlement of trade payments without the need for banks or cash.
This will bring new trade opportunities to small and medium-sized enterprises that previously faced high hurdles in doing business with overseas companies.

I have joined BCCC and will exchange information with everyone involved in blockchain, deepen my knowledge of blockchain, and contribute to the further spread and practical application of blockchain in society.
