2020.2.3
Our COO, Omori, spoke at the "Africa Business Matching Seminar in Kenya," held in Nairobi, Kenya from January 27th to 28th, 2020!
On the day of the seminar, more than 60 companies participated, including Japanese companies and local Kenyan companies.
Presentations by Japanese companies for their Japanese subsidiaries in Kenya,
Japanese companies and Kenyan companies each gave presentations on their respective initiatives.
Most of the participants were from JICA, JETRO, banks, VCs, and small and medium-sized manufacturing companies; surprisingly, our company was the only startup!
It was a great honor to give a presentation as a representative of a Japanese startup company.
This seminar clarified the challenge that many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in export businesses to Africa are indeed struggling with cash flow, and it reinforced the need for SHC (Small Business Health Coverage).
Furthermore, it appears that there are no actual business applications of cryptocurrency in Kenya.
Our company aims to be the first to implement this technology, and we hope to widely inform Japanese companies considering doing business with Africa about the advantages of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, ultimately contributing to supporting local businesses.

▼ Overview of the "Africa Business Matching Seminar in Kenya"
This seminar aims to provide Japanese companies seeking overseas expansion, as well as companies supporting the overseas expansion of Japanese companies, with an opportunity to experience the growing business needs for B2B industrial equipment and other products in Kenya due to industrial development, and the possibilities of co-creating value with Kenyan companies based on these needs.
Furthermore, this seminar will be held as part of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's subsidized project, "The 5th Annual 'Leap Out Japan!'"*.
* "Tobidase Japan!" is a subsidy program implemented by I.C. Net as part of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's FY2019 "Technology Cooperation Utilization Type Emerging Market Development Project Subsidy (Social Issue Solving Type International Joint Development Project)" for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can be used when expanding into emerging countries.
In addition to providing subsidies, IC Net, a consulting firm with extensive overseas experience, will provide business expansion support services to support your overseas expansion in emerging and developing countries.
