On August 27, 2020, STANDAGE Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Akinori Adachi; hereinafter referred to as "STANDAGE") and HIS Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and CEO: Hideo Sawada; hereinafter referred to as "HIS") entered into a business partnership to jointly support the overseas expansion of Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises in the trade business.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, travel restrictions have been put in place around the world, forcing many Japanese companies to refrain from traveling abroad on business.
This has made it difficult to hold business negotiations and match business with local companies overseas through the presentation of samples, which is otherwise difficult without traveling overseas.

STANDAGE provides "DIGITRAD," a comprehensive trade platform service that handles all trade operations, from matching trade sellers and buyers to payment, financing, and cargo delivery.
It is possible to list products on the service and conduct business matching online.

HIS offers an overseas remote business trip proxy service called "Rental HIS," whereby staff from HIS's overseas bases carry out or support work that would have been carried out at the overseas business trip destination on the company's behalf.
Utilizing our overseas network of 259 locations in 158 cities in 69 countries, we handle tasks that would normally be performed on overseas business trips, such as acting as an agent for local sales overseas, arranging business negotiations, and purchasing samples.

As the first step of the business alliance, the DIGITRAD and Rental HIS systems will be linked, making it possible to make agency requests to Rental HIS directly from the DIGITRAD platform.
This allows products to be listed on DIGITRAD, and staff from HIS's overseas offices will proactively act as sales agents to local companies, arrange business negotiations, and provide translation support.
Furthermore, even after a deal is concluded, we can provide comprehensive support for all operations, from payment to delivery.

Going forward, we will continue to work together to lower the barriers for Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises to expand their trade business overseas, and to create services that are easy, convenient and safe.
