Standage selected as contractor for preparatory survey regarding grant aid implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

外務省実施の無償資金協力に関する事前調査の業務委嘱先としてスタンデージが選定されました

STANDAGE Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Akinori Adachi, hereinafter referred to as Standage), which develops and provides digital trade platforms, has been selected as a contractor for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' "Preliminary Survey for Grant Aid" (hereinafter referred to as this project). This project calls for businesses to conduct a local preliminary survey to digitalize agricultural machinery management in Egypt, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide the survey expenses to the selected company. Through this project, we will contribute to the promotion of international projects and deepen relationships with businesses in Egypt, which will be utilized for future business expansion.

Background of this project

Bread is Egypt's staple food, and although there is a high domestic demand for wheat, domestic production is not enough to meet self-sufficiency, so the country relies on imports from other countries.

Recently, due to the unstable situation in Russia and Ukraine, which were our main import sources, it has become urgent to improve self-sufficiency.

In the 1980s, Japan provided Egypt with agricultural machinery through official development assistance (ODA), and established an agricultural machinery lending center. While the center is still in operation today, it is still managed on a paper-based basis, and efficiency is an issue.

By digitizing management, this project will increase the operating rate of agricultural machinery and contribute to improving Japan's self-sufficiency rate for agricultural products, including wheat.

■ Strengths of Standage

As Standage's core business is supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in entering trade, including developing sales channels, the company employs native personnel who are familiar with local conditions.

For this case too, the CEO of our local branch, who has close ties with various agricultural institutions in Egypt, will be investigating.

In addition, we have our own system development department.PossessThis allows us to compile survey results while incorporating opinions from an engineer's perspective in preparation for digitalization.

Through its cooperation in this project, Standage will build relationships with various institutions and companies within Egypt, and use this experience to expand its business in the future.

Make global trade freer and simpler.
