Exporting Sustainability: Opening Up New Markets Through Locally-Focused ApproachesEiShin Co., Ltd.
EiShin Co., Ltd. is a company that plans and sells products using environmentally friendly materials. While they had been conducting overseas trade on a certain scale, they faced challenges in terms of human resources and international expansion. In this context, they introduced STANDAGE's "Omakase Trading" service and took a steady first step towards overseas expansion.
assignment
- In-house labor shortage in trade operations
- Difficulty in securing specialized personnel
- The hurdles to building trust in business negotiations with overseas companies
current situation
- Expanding sales channels through sales support by local overseas representatives.
- Streamlining practical operations through product registration and sales negotiation support.
- Improving suitability to local markets in light of environmental regulations
Could you tell us what led you to introduce STANDAGE's automated trading service this time?
We had been conducting small-scale overseas business for some time, but a major turning point came when an employee who had been in charge of our overseas operations for many years went on maternity leave. Overseas expansion requires not only English language skills but also specialized knowledge and experience, so simply replacing personnel would not be enough, and this was becoming a growing concern within the company.
It was at that very moment that we happened to meet a sales representative from STANDAGE at a trade show, and their strong interest in our products led us to learn about "Omakase Trading." The next day, they contacted us, and after hearing about their enthusiasm for our products and their concrete proposals for developing sales channels, we became convinced that "this is trustworthy" and decided to implement their service.
What exactly did it entail?
What I value most about "Omakase Trading" is the support for local sales and product registration. In particular, the fact that they target and introduce products in a way that suits the needs of each country is a huge attraction. When I tried other sales outsourcing services in the past, I had the problem that it was difficult to convey the nuances of face-to-face communication.
On the other hand, STANDAGE's local staff actually conducted sales activities, allowing for a more personal and transparent process. This is a major difference from other services. Furthermore, their ability to mitigate the risks associated with international trade, including handling uncollected payments, is another factor that makes them a trustworthy choice.

What results have you achieved since implementing it?
The services we value most through trade are local sales support and product registration assistance. In particular, the ability to introduce products in a way that is tailored to the specific needs of each country is extremely appealing to us.
In the past, I've tried sales outsourcing services, but I often couldn't get a sense of the personal connection. What's significantly different about STANDAGE's "Leave it to us trading" service is that local staff actually conduct the sales activities, so you can see their faces as you go along. Also, the avoidance of payment collection risks associated with trade and the handling of unpaid amounts are factors that make me feel confident entrusting them with the service.
What kind of support do you expect from Omakase Trading in the future?
Through developing sales channels and providing sales support in local markets, we have high expectations that we can go beyond mere task outsourcing and achieve a more effective and direct approach by having staff with a deep understanding of and passion for the products. In the future, we would like to work with governments and local authorities in specific countries and regions to create "model cases" using our products.
Our main goal is to implement our operations in a way that complies with local environmental regulations and systems. In addition, to mitigate trade-related risks, we would appreciate further support in strengthening our credit check and pre-deal research systems for our trading partners.
Furthermore, regarding the provision of information on international events, we hope to work together to create a system that allows for smoother participation and utilization through timely collaboration.

Comment from Mr. Yasunaga of Eishin
We find the system in "Omakase Trading," where local staff actually conduct sales activities, to be a major attraction that other services do not offer. We have long felt that there is a certain demand for our products in overseas markets, but there were many hurdles to overcome when it came to actual expansion. In this context, having a support system that is well-versed in local conditions provided through "Omakase Trading" is extremely reassuring.
I feel confident recommending this highly refined system to fellow business owners facing similar challenges. In particular, given the nature of environmentally friendly products, compatibility with overseas markets where regulations are becoming stricter is essential, and I consider the support from STANDAGE to be a significant achievement, enabling us to deploy our products in a way that reliably complies with local standards.
