Mitsui Onnetsu Co., Ltd., a manufacturer and distributor of medical and health equipment, was expanding its overseas operations based on its track record in the domestic market. However, the complicated export procedures and settlement risks with trading partners were major challenges. Could you tell us what led you to introduce STANDAGE's automated trading service this time?

We have been working on exports, but we have faced several challenges. In particular, we needed to follow the proper export procedures in accordance with the licenses of each country, but our lack of expertise in trade made it difficult to carry out our operations smoothly. In addition to the complexity of the procedures, efficient operation was also difficult, and we felt we had reached our limits.

Despite consulting with numerous trade experts, we were unable to find the optimal solution. It was during this time that we learned about STANDAGE's "Leave-it-to-us Trade" service and had the opportunity to hear more about it. STANDAGE's concrete advice resonated with us, and we decided to implement it.

What exactly did it entail?

We feel that STANDAGE's advice, leveraging their extensive knowledge of international trade, has helped us solve the challenges we were facing. In particular, their support in communicating with overseas partners has been a great help in developing new sales channels.

Furthermore, our concerns regarding cash collection from business partners were alleviated. Having concrete guidelines provided to ensure smooth transactions while minimizing risks with new business partners allowed us to conduct our trade operations with confidence.

What results have you achieved since implementing it?

By implementing "Omakase Trading," we were able to begin regular exports to Vietnam, and transactions are proceeding smoothly. Currently, our business is centered in Vietnam, but with STANDAGE's support, we have gained confidence in expanding our sales channels to other countries. In the future, we plan to develop further markets such as the Philippines and the United States.

Furthermore, although our business partners are still small in scale, they have developed a clear vision and are able to formulate concrete strategies for expanding their sales channels. Going forward, we aim to enter more markets and expand our business.

What kind of support do you expect from Omakase Trading in the future?

Going forward, we plan to collaborate with STANDAGE to further build our track record in the Vietnamese market while expanding into new markets. In particular, we aim to strengthen our local business model and acquire more business partners. We also plan to leverage the experience gained from overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic to more proactively develop sales channels.

With STANDAGE's support, we aim to further strengthen our network with local partners and establish a stable trading base through official exports.
